Default Need some help with my first Arrangeball

    Hey Guys,
This is Dan Welch from Magic Pachinko Restorations. I pretty much know vintage Pachinkos inside and out, but I am new to Arrangeballs.

I had a customer send me his machine with a beautiful playing card motif. Unfortunately, I must have gotten dropped hard during shipment.
There were many broken pieces including two circuit boards. I'm pretty sure I have everything fixed, but I don't understand the workings of the machine itself.

What I would really appreciate, is someone who knows the machines pretty well to do a video chat with me. That way I can show the damage and get a good idea of what is supposed to happen when the power comes on.

If someone was willing to spend a little time with me, I'd be eternally grateful!

    Thanks in advance.

That’s terrible news about the shipping damage; can the boards be saved? Does the machine drop the 16 balls via solenoid activated “trap door” when you drop a coin in it? That’s the first step of operation. 2nd step is the scoring matrix working or not; and 3rd thing to check is the coin payout system/solenoid/motor to ensure it pays out as it should.

Pics might help; some newer (early 80’s ) arrangeball have a somewhat hidden “start” button near the shooter. I have 3 working ones.

The two circuit boards at the top took damage. Pretty sure I have them fixed but not 100% sure.

Hi, Dan. Let me take a look. I may have that machine. I definitely have one with that background and i definitely have one with that center scoring, but not sure if they are on the same machine or if it is two different machines. I am pretty comfortable with how arrangeballs work in general so if I don't have the same model I can probably help you out anyway. Let me do some digging this weekend. I still owe someone a photo of the date stamp on a Sensei arrangeball too so I'll knock those both out this weekend.

Tink is the man when it comes to arrangeball function.
I have that same machine but with a different cel and is called "Bonus Line". One thing to make sure of is that the spinning rotor is making good contact with the traces and that the arms are aligned with those traces. Also, check the daughter board's metal loops (to the far right of the board that the rotating arm mech is on) are intact as they were frequently cut to limit payouts.
    Game play:
To get rows and columns lit by landing balls in numbered pockets for payouts.
3 pass thru pockets at top light corresponding flags which increase amount paid out.
Rows from top to bottom pay out 1,3,3, and 5.
Top row has a flag which stays lit to signify game start but does not award additional points.
Rows WITH flags lit pay out 1,5,5, and 8.
    Vertical columns pay one each.
Ball in bonus pocket allows player to light the 3,10, and 14 numbers to help complete a row and or column if player chooses to do so. Large, round light in upper left stays on to indicate bonus mode is active. To use the bonus, the player presses the red button on lower left of game. Bonus carries over to subsequent games if it's not used. As tokens are paid out, the large round light in upper right location blinks each time.
