Default Sanurai Showdown Pachislot - Locked keys

    Hi all
I saw the post on if you lock the keys in that you should go in thru the bottom. I am not finding a latch of any kind when I do this.
Is there another way to gain entry without destroying the lock?

OK I think the name of your machine is Samurai Swordsman. Some of these newer machines have closer fitting latches that are going to be harder to trip from the overflow hole.

Here is my question, Is the door key loose inside or on a ring with the reset key in the reset lock switch?

Yes its the Samurai Swordsman. I see a tiny little latch on the lock end itself but it barely moves. The key is currently in the reset lock and turned to the right,. I was in the middle of resetting it when the door closed on me.

Do you have any ventilation slots in the back of the case opposite the side of the door lock? Use a very long screwdriver or other stiff object to reach thru to lift on a latch if you can see one. You only need to lift up on one of the two latches as they will move together.

I have one box in the back that I can open up but the hopper is in the way and I can't see past it.

Try making a hook out of something or use a strip of metal with a notch in it and pull hard here.pic1.jpg

Pull in the direction of the arrow and at the same time pull on the door.

Let me rephrase that, pull hard in the direction of the arrow hold that pressure, while seeing if you can easily pull the door open!

I bought a lockpick set to see if I could pick the lock...you can't...well...I can't.
as for the idea suggested here. I don't even know where i'd get metal to do what you are asking me to do here....man this is insane. I was hoping there was an actual latch...but there seems to not be. just that lil nub in my pic and it only moves so far and even with force on it...the door won't open.

ok so I used the back of a hammer, got on there really good and with all 225lbs of me, pulled.. Nothing happened.
At this point I'm thinking two things
    1. I just break the lock open
    2. I unscrew the lock from the inside on the screws I highlighted here in the pic

Unscrewing the lock wont do it, How they usually are set up is that the round piece on the back of the lock turns and moves a spring loaded vertical bar ( vertical when the pachi is in an upright position of course) that catches the cabinet hardware in two places (high and low). You simply are not pulling the right piece in the right direction.

It shouldn't take 250 Inch lbs of force, just 10 or so. If you are pulling that hard you are going to break something before you get it open!

If you unscrew the lock you may be able to move the piece it moves, the lock might be preventing that now

Here is a video of one of my newer machines, the lock does not prevent the opening of the latches. You just need to move the right part in this case, up . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oelkot8W6IQ

oooooooo that would explain why I am not seeing an actual latch. so the pic I posted that you used to put an arrow on it.
that pic has the unit laying on its right side, the lock is on top that latch only moves one way...towards the hole on the bottom. it doesn't go up.

I spoke to 4 locksmiths no one can open this. This is amazing.

The little round stamped hook on the end of the lock cylinder moves the entire mechanical shebang that opens the door. It does so mechanically, so just move what it moves, with a tool. You don't need to see what it moves upstream at this point or a locksmith. You simply need to move what the lock moves with something you can get in there. BTW the door locks on pachislos all move in both directions. One direction (to the right as you are on the outside of the machine) opens the door, the other direction performs the soft reset. get in there and move that assembly FCS ! All the cylinder does is prevent you from turning it without the key from the outside, if you are on the inside, you don't need a key. Send the entire unit to me and I'll open it for you and put the door key on a chain on the outside LOL !
