Default Kyoraku Hibari Misora Legend of the Phoenix

    IMG-1144.jpgHello,

I just purchased a Kyoraku Hibari Misora Legend of the Phoenix and it has an ASAH Smiley Ball Counter.

    I have a few questions:

    1) When I turn it on, the pachinko machine gives off an extremely loud alarm as it boots and tests the mechanisms. It stops after the startup is completed but it lasts about 30 seconds. I'm pretty sure there are several corpses at the local cemetery that are turning over in their graves every time this alarm goes off...Is there any way to disable the audio alarm?

    2) When I am playing the game, the sound is actually very low...Is there any way to turn the game sound up?

    3) When I press the "Enter" button, a menu comes up but none of the navigation arrow keys work...Any ideas on how to fix this?

    4) I have no idea how to use the ball counter...The only thing that I am sure of is the "Call" button...Can anyone tell me how to use this?

    5) Where can I get manuals for both the pachinko machine and the ball counter?

Any help I can get will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    1) welcome to Kyoraku ownership. No official way to get rid of the alarm or start up sequence. I think someone in the past installed a delay timer relay wired into the 24v supply and connected the alarm speakers through it. So the speakers were physically disconnected for 1 minute after power up. Not sure if the alarm is through all speakers or just one.

    2) might be a volume adjustment on the back somewhere. I don have anything in this frame. So don't know.

    3) No idea. Can you take a picture of the screen?

    4) Ball counter is the wrong phase. Data or battle counter is more accurate. For basic operation. You need 4 pairs of wires. 2 power, 2 reel spins labelled start スタート 2 ootari 大当たり and 2 for high probability mode. If the counter hasn't been messed with. These are normally red and yellow for power. The ones with a blue tag on them are the goltfree inputs. The rest are through puts, voltage inputs, door alarms, and comms to link to other counters. I know some Kyoraku frames needed a special connector for data counters as they didn't have the speaker spring clips like newer machines or old individual sockets like older machines.

Here an old vid I did of my counters sitting on the kitchen table.

    5) All in japanese. The data counter manuals are easier to get. But confuse the heck out of me. Machine manuals come in 2 parts. Cel manual and frame manual. These are a lot harder to get.

    and finally

    Welcome Aboard
