Reels won’t spin

Got a Getter Mouse pachislo for free. Reels wouldn’t stop spinning when buttons pressed. Fuse on stop board kept blowing fuses. Replaced four components on the board as recommended on this forum. It stopped blowing fuses but the reels wouldn’t start spinning now. Gave up and bought a replacement “tested” stop board on eBay. Still has the same issue. I’ve checked everything, twice. It resets correctly. LED on motherboard lights when start paddle is pressed. Don’t see any LEDs when stop buttons are pressed but I can hear relays clicking on the reels. It accepts metals but I get no start light and start paddle does nothing. I checked all the wiring…nothing pinched, everything plugged in and tight. Everything looks pretty clean.

Any ideas?

The machines are very basic and will only allow one input at a time. If the spin lever isn't working. Then the fault is either with the spin lever or you have another input stuck on somewhere. Could be one of the stop buttons or the bet buttons. Most machines have an led indicator to show which inputs are active. A line of about 20 leds. If your machine has this. You should be able to test each button and switch to see which one is one.

I traced all the LEDs on the motherboard. All switch correctly except for three...SP1, SP2 and SP3. I can't find what controls these. SP2 and SP3 are on SP1 is off. Any ideas what these belong to? I checked and cleaned the stop buttons and they trigger relays on the stop board. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Do LED's light up on the motherboard when you hit each of the stop buttons? Remove the reel assembly and re-seat all the connections on it.

Fixed! Thanks for all the help…I think it was a bad connection on the stop board. Put the old board in and it behaved strangely. Put the new board back in and success!
