    Default Powerflash transformer question

I picked up a 24v ac transformer with center tap for a Thunderbird powerflash. I'm measuring about 28v and 14v from center tap. My question is this to high or is it normal. Maybe underload it will drop to about 24v? I assume if its to much it would blow the 2amp fuse. I'm also measuring about 65 ohms at solenoids. That sound right?

    Thanks

Sounds about normal without load. Not sure on the solenoids, never measured them.

Sounds right to me. Lower voltage to thumbscrews...higher voltage to what looks like a " lamp cord".

Yeah, way back in 1978 my Dad got a Power Flash and I couldn't figure the power ,my older brother couldn't figure the power , and my Dad ,a Master Machinist and to this day one of the smartest persons in the World couldn't figure the power . Last time I saw it was back in the early 1980's Rusting on a open porch .
