I didn't think of this earlier but I turned off my AKB shortly after start up to sneak a couple pics. Looks like the rods are pressed together? The screw holes look empty.

Yeah this makes more sense. Any clue how I would be able to find something to screw in here? Been messing with it for the past 10 minutes but dont have anything nearly that small

Mine is screwed at the bottom atleast. I might try unscrewing one there to use the other screw for the top possibly if all else fails.

Pull one to see if it fits and holds then you will know what to shop for at the hardware store. I'd caution against powering it up without two set screws in each end as the rails might twist out of place causing damage or injury.

Found yet another issue however the spinning akb was working and I assume this was initially a shotty repair job for that. Boi the deeper I dig into these machines the more ****ed up they are ������

Man O Man ! The last owner of that machine just was hacking and chopping everywhere on that poor machine .

Going ahead and posting a video of my other cell to determine if it is at all fixable. Was having weird issues with the screen plus the bottom screen had a blue screen. However I assumed the errors on this one were too major to attempt to fix.

I’m confused; you bought two of the same AKB48 Rose ceremony machines; are you saying both are broke? (Or just one?)

The other different AKB48 cell (not sure of exact name) . But you probably want to specify what exact cell you are trying to buy or fix for clarification… there’s lots of AKB48 machines. My two cents; pivot away from these known troublesome machines hacked up beyond belief with finicky animatronics and buy a different cell; how much AKB48 could one person possibly need anyway?

i have 2 rose ceremony but 1 is the sweet ver. and 1 of the other one. sweet rose works but not normal rose. (the 2 variants of rose came from the stolen lot of machines) and then leo gave me the cell of the one with the broken animatronic as a gift. He did not know it was broken tho.

I am also biased towards akb as I am a huge akb48 and idols in general. My current goal is to own all the variants of most the machines, and then spread to other idol/seiyuu/gravure machines.

Yeah; I don’t see the point in owning the regular version of machine if the “sweet” one with better odds works (it’s pretty much the same game with worse odds). Why play the “heavy” machine with worse odds if you have a choice between the two? Fewer fevers and more ball refilling once a fever finally hits; no thanks! At least the good (sweet version) one works!

I think you need a bigger place before buying ALL variants!

Yeah I'll be moving in 6 months-a year so only getting a few more before the move �� also hopefully by the time I'm ready to hunt for all variants shipping prices will go back down a bit. Capping myself at 10 machines before the move

Have you determined if the issue with problem machine #2 is cell specific or frame specific??

Swap both the “bad” cells into the known good and working frame? Just curious. Can’t hurt to try.

You can buy “new” cells off yahoo auctions; it’s only $150-200 to ship a cell from Japan.

It shouldn't be frame specific because the one with a blue screen also had weird green particles and stuff as well. But on the one with bad animatronics was working fine other than that and the initial audio issue

The other one with the animatronic issue looks to be "AKB48 Team Surprise" from 2012.
