Default How To Set Date and Time Kyotaku 2014 Kinnikuman Pachinko

Hi all! Feel bad asking but does anyone know how I can set the time and date on my Kyotaku 2014 Kinnikuman pachinko machine? Below is a picture of the start up screen. It won’t let me get past this screen unless I hit the ram clear button which I’m trying to avoid. Was told by one of the most helpful guys on the forums DrunkenClam that I might have to set the date and time. Unfortunately all the options and buttons I try, none of them bring me to any date and time settings. Was hoping someone might have come across this on their own machine.
    thanks.

On my AKB48. If I hold the RMS button during power up it brings up a memory clear page. Then pressing the !! Button it brings up a game option menu. Although on mine. The date/time wasn't an option. But it did give me an option of what date the first concert will play. Now I don't know what that means. It might have something to do with the hourly attract music video.

I'm sure when I first got the machine I had to enter a date by doing above.

Worth a try! May I ask which is the RMS button? I have the ram clear button on the back and another button that doesn’t seem to do anything on the back. Also have a round button on the front a X button on the front and the direction pad. I definitely know the !! Button lol

Sorry. I mean the RWM button on the back. Located under the plastic flap.

I'm not at my machine at the moment. But the X and O buttons are the parlour loan buttons. Used to dispense balls and eject your prepaid card in a parlour. Serve no function at home. Unless you get a Daverob dongle.

Ahh ok the same button I use when I hit the ram reset. So hold it down turn on the machine and it might bring up an option menu. I feel I tried holding it down and turning it on but I’ll give it an official try and report back. Thanks again!

It brings up a Ram reset window. With the option to press the !! Button. That then brings up a new menu.

Tried it and nothing happened. Had to hit the ram reset button again and it brings me to the game like normal. I would try taking the battery out again but it was extremely difficult to get it in lol. It’s so weird.

Must make it an AKB48 option only then. What is weird. is one of the menus asks for its location in the asile. Almost like they can sync

of course. I could be wrong about date/time being an issue after all.

I’m wondering if maybe I put the wrong battery in? I know that size battery has (at least) 2 styles but they are the same size. CR2032 and ML2032 One is rechargeable when the device is on and the other isn’t. Both are 3v and the same size. I already threw out the old battery (saw a scary story where a kid swallowed one!) but I remember it was a little difficult seeing the number on it. The one I put in was the CR2032 version (not rechargeable one) If it’s not the date or wrong battery what else could be causing this? It’s not a huge deal cause once I hit the RAM clear it works flawlessly. Has this screen ever been seen before lol. Or are there just some games where you have to hit the RWS button on start up?

That coloured screen does come up on mine, but only for a few seconds.

That’s a cool machine! Yea mine doesn’t have the RAM screen come up again. It does it’s test and such but on the main play screen. I’ll try a different battery and see what happens. The color screen I thought might be mentioning errors but looking at it it just says the version of the LCD, system etc. Weird.

I just went through and replaced the battery on my 1/99 version of this game with a new Duracell CR2032.

For what it’s worth- I get the same color bars for 30sec as the shooter knob builds pressure. Then, it’s business as normal. I do not have to hit the ram reset button and the date was not set.

Appreciate the info! Your normal on/off situation sounds like mine when I turn it on a few minutes after turning it off. Am I maybe not leaving it on long enough? Since I changed the battery I probably haven’t left it on longer than 20 minutes.

Time on should have no impact on needing to press the RAM clear button for proper start-up. As a point of reference, here’s what mine does each time at start-up.

When I replaced my battery, I forgot to connect a wire harness. That resulted in staying on that screen with the color bars. RAM clear didn’t change it. Maybe if a different wire harness (perhaps less critical to play) was disconnected it could result in what you’re describing. Might not be a bad idea to double check all the wire harnesses are properly seated.

This is great advice! Kicking myself for not thinking of it lol. I’ll do a full check later today and report back.

Also I appreciate the video! Your video is exactly what happens if I turn it off for a few minutes and then turn it on. Really cool being able to talk to someone that has the same machine as me. At least I think we have the same. You said yours in 1/99? Is that a rare chase version?!?
