    Default Electro-mechanical Pachinko, Takes lot's of skill,luck!

Since the Vintage Pachinko forum is kind of quiet, thought I'd contribute. Figured even though this has a shooter knob instead of a flipper that it belongs here (no big flashy lcd!)

Been trying to find one of these ever since I lost at Ebay several years ago. Finally got this one not that long ago, really liked the Japanese looking ducks.

Not just a trust to luck machine, takes some skill, but pays pretty well when you do win. Pays out about 1500-2250 for a bonus (10-15 rounds, 10 wins per round, 15 balls per win). But it takes a lot to play.

    Very nice !

But I think that the old lever shot ones are requiring the most skill as you have to realign your lever shot each time altho I guess you could bracket it somehow just like some people jam the shooter knobs on the newer machines. I read somewhere that somehow in Parlors now that players will actually jam a altered pachislo medal into the shooter to make it stay at the one position. I would think that that is frowned on tho...

With the flipper models you put the pin that's below the flipper between two fingers (If thumb is 1, next is 2,3,4,5 (if you got more, I don't wanna know!) then between 2 and 3) then the lever will only go down so far. Rotate your hand, pivoting on that pin, clockwise to shoot farther, counterclockwise to shoot shorter. I used to have a indent on my finger from the flipper hitting there. The thing with the Duck machine is though, there is only one way other than getting the tulip to open that you can possibly win well. Then you have to fire to the right side, then stop, then fire down the center a lot, repeat. It's not just shooting for the sweet spot (on LCD machines) repeatedly then trusting to the luck of the numbers. Although, you would have to be good to win well at the flippers since they don't have a bonus, just regular wins. I wonder if pachinko balls were worth more in the old days. You didn't win 5-10 thousand then, unless you were real good!

Doodude, now that's an avatar I can get behind!

I have to figure out how to adjust the nails to make it a little easier to win, otherwise it takes forever!

Ultraman what big eyes you have!!!!!!

I have a bootleg Ultraman game from Japan for my 3DO system somewhere around here.

I also have a strip rock, paper, scissor game too.

the 3DO didn't need modding, it would play all games.

I still have mine with loads of games.

    Here ya go, compirate...
From our museum... it even had a link in there to your old "wanted"?

    Rhapsody.
Very nice machine that photos don't do justice. The one I had was mint. Wish I had never sold it!
Mine was loose as a goose (or duck?) after I opened up those pins on top that lets the balls enter the "nest".

It really is the most skill-required machine I've had.

Did you sell it to someone in NJ? That's where mine came from.

Nope... sold it to a member in Texas.
But it came from NJ, with about 7 or 8 others from that era.

I've got 6 of this type:

    http://compirate.home.mindspring.com...echanical.html

The Kyoraku one was in a container load of mechanicals I had the pleasure of sorting through once in Ca. I could take as many as I wanted for $20 ea. Took all the units with the most tulips (more chance to win). Still all sitting on 2 double racks in the garage, collecting dust so far.

Haven't updated to include the Rhapsody yet. Have a lot of updating to do, all the pachislo stuff, all my new ideas for a home parlor (as soon as I clean out the garage or figure out how to keep the basement dry!).
