Can anyone tell me anything about this particular machine? I'm a first time buyer and trying to get as much information as I can. So far, I have found that the hopper won't pay out coins either past 50 credits or by pressing the cash out button. The volume is pretty loud too. Ive tried adjusting the volume switch, but it still seems extremely loud. Can anyone tell me if I'm missing any parts as well? I noticed where there is an area near the back past where the hopper is plugged in that looks like something can be plugged in. I can attach as many more pictures as needed. Sounds like your machine is working as designed, these machines can only hold 50 ctedits and only pay out 15 in any particular spin. However a bonus will pay out a series of winning spins and only charge you 1 token per spin. The volume problem is normal as well. There is a thread in modifications that will provide you with info on installing volume controls to your machine. Since your machine is working, any extra socket is most likely unused from a previous model or for diognostics. Welcome to Pachitalk !

So the machine isn't made to spit out tokens? I have to open the machine to get out more. It doesn't pay them out to the player.

Ok, sorry didn't understand you had a hopper problem. Disconnect and remove the hopper and try spinning it by hand with your finger from a coin hole. It should be quite resistant to turn because it's a gear motor but it should move smoothly and spit out any coins that may be out of sight. A lot of times a small screw or something else can get jammed in these hoppers and freeze them. Another thing is checking the sensor that counts the coins coming out for cleanliness. Sometimes just unplugging the hopper and reseating the connection does it. Do this to both sides of the harness between your power supply and the hopper if applicable. Also re-seat any other plugs you find on the hopper circuit board. If all that doesn't work plug it back in and check for voltage at the motor especially right before it errors out.

Not a problem. The motor does move the coins for sure. There's that switch that forces it to spin and they all shoot out. I read a few forums online and tried to clean the sensors, but that didn't work. Although I'm not 100% sure if I cleaned them correctly. I also unplugged it and plugged it back in. I'm not sure how to test voltage or really do much with the circuitboards... I'm definitely not electrically savvy.

Sounds perplexing since the hopper apparently works. Check and reseat every cable in there.

I am not sure where the connections from the mother board that determain a payout is to trigger the hopper, but a shotgun approach might work. Just verify that hitting the switch to empty the hopper doesn't produce an error?

It errors out. It sounds an alarm and flashes and HP error on the screen.

You previously said it spits out all the coins when you hit that switch, does it then HP error when it's empty?

I am referring to the hopper empty switch located either on the hopper or power supply with most models.

It does. Same error code as before. Whether it's full with tokens or empty, it's always the HP error. I tried to find out exactly what hopper error code this was, but everything I've looked at doesn't specify an HP error. I see others for hopper errors, but never this one.

Here's a list of error codes that includes the HP error: https://www.pachitalk.com/forums/sho...es-In-Japanese. It says it's a hopper jam, but it seems like your hopper is mechanically working OK if you can run it in manual mode and it shoots out tokens.

It could be a bad sensor, or the connection from one of the hopper wires back to the Power Supply Unit. It would require some troubleshooting with a multimeter to test the end-to-end continuity.

Hold on a second, do you know the proper reset procedure?

turning the machine power switch off

turning the reset key to on

turning the power on

toggle the spin knob a few times

turning the reset key back off

Thank you for the info! Yeah, it's definitely not a jam. It's beginning to sound like I'll need to bring it in somewhere or buy a new hopper. I don't know the first thing about electrical problems.

Does the machine have a credit or demo mode where I can at least play it without it wanting to dispense tokens? I just hate that it errors out when I'm doing well.

No, unfortunately it maxes out at 50 credits in credit mode, and will always pay out from the hopper if a win takes you beyond 50 credits. They operate like this by law in Japan and there's no switch or toggle that can change it. A new hopper may fix it but there's a chance it could be a connection problem further upstream and the problem won't go away with a different hopper. If you know someone who has some experience with electrical troubleshooting it might be worth it to verify the connections between the hopper and where it's plugged into. It might be a quick & easy fix. Hope it works out for you.
