Automatic Payout Fever Wanted

I purchased a Fever Wanted machine at a garage sale for $50.00 today. After playing it I noticed the machine did not payout balls. I opened the payout motor and it had a bug stuck in it. After I put it back together the machine pays out 20 balls exactly ever 3 - 5 minutes while playing or it’s sitting there with the power on. Any ideas on a fix or diagnostic approach?

It could be just catching up on old wins, and/or still thinks the top tank is low due to sticking switch/ As it would normally payout faster than that,

I turned the machine on and it ran for an hour and the machine payed out 20 balls exactly over and over for an hour. You refer to the "Top Tank" are you referring to the reward payout tray or the switch above where the pay out motor is? I am a the mercy of those been around these machines. I am a newbie and was quite shocked I was able to get the pay out motor to work on my own.

leave it plugged in and keep the top back hopper full. It sounds like it is catching up on payouts.. let it do its thing..

I turned on the machine and let it sit for over 3 hours unplayed and the payouts just kept coming, coming and coming. I looked into it further by looking at the back of the machine. I noticed (3) tube fuses on the side. With the machine off I looked at all three to see if they are blown. All three were not blown and looking good. So I turned on the machine and took out the top fuse. The slot reels and most of the lights on the front stopped working. When I plugged the fuse back in the machine rebooted. I then let the machine sit for a bit not playing balls, to see if it would pay out with out playing the machine.

AND.....

No more payouts every 30 sec to a minute. I played the machine and looks like its running like it should. I am so excited because I thought I had bought a broken/defective Pachinko Machine.
