Talking I inherited a cool Pachinko machine and have NO IDEA what to do with it. Help

    Hi forum,

Well, the quick version is this: A friend gave me a pretty cool looking Pachinko machine while they were cleaning out their old stuff before moving back to Japan.

I have NO idea what to do with this thing. I am only familiar with Pachinko via youtube videos and it looks like fun. I would love to try it. And here I am with one in my possession. It looks pretty cool. And I don't know how to uh.... use it.

It appears to be an Evangelion pachinko machine. Looks like it is in great shape. Probably 90s era? I got a tray full of metal spheres and poured some into the back. I found the power button, which turns the machine on, and I get some pretty awesome intro animations. And then......

Well I'm not sure what to do. If I turn the round handle I get a loud thumping/clicking sound. I press buttons randomly, nothing happens.

I'm aware that -something- needs to be done to start the cascade of spheres and the fun, but hey, I know -nothing- about this world.

So, I come to you, member of PachiTalk, in search of wisdom to address my noobness.

How do I actually.... use this?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

    -Dood

The top tray on the front feeds the ball shooter (thumping noise).
The knob chooses how powerful the shot is. Too much it goes past any jackpot pockets. Too little it doesn't get up the ramp into the playfeild. Your goal is to get balls into the holes in the playfeild.

I probably have a more fundamental issue.... can't get any of the balls to go down the ramp. Just hear the clicking. =)
I mean I think my issue is that I don't know how to make it work at all.

Pictures would help. If it's not taking from the tray on the front the shooter mechanism might be broken, but check if the tray on the top in back is filled. That's the payout resivor some machines won't allow play if there's no payout.

The buttons do nothing once it's out of the parlor they're for calling staff.

Could be a dust bunny, dead bug or other debris blocking the balls from flowing to the shooter; you’ll have to open up the front frame of the machine to get access to the shooter area to see what’s going on and make sure the balls can flow to the shooter.

Yellow circle is where you load balls for prize payout.
Blue circle is where all the balls that go into the playfeild come back out.
Red circle is the latch to open the glass

Wen you open the glass the second picture shows where the latch to open the bottom door
Last picture is both doors open the silver track is where the ball sits to get hit into the playfeild
If there's anything blocking the feed it would be in the lower door that opens.
