Default winning fever / balls reservoir

    Hey guys,
i got a SW machine where i got a problem. As soon as i hit the fever mode ( payout mode ) my tank always runs empty.
So i got some questions about that and maybe you ca answer them.
    1. how do you manage the "fever / payout mode" ?
    2. How do a pachinko parlor handle this cause they would face the same problem ?
    3. is there a posibility the enlarge the upper ball hopper ?

    regards

Ahhh. This is where the fun and interesting home modifying starts.

Lucky. Unlike vintage machines. The moderns will store how much they have to pay out even if the rear tank runs out of balls.

    1) the simple.way is do the pachi ball shuffle. In other words. Keep emptying the front trays and pour them back into the rear tank. Some make a cabinet with addition ball.feed in the top. Maybe enough to hold 5000 balls or more. Or a simple surround wall to increase the capacity of the original tank. Both have issues if you have to open the machines.
Next stage is a ball lifter that takes all the shot balls and lifts them back to the rear tank. Although it will not keep up with a fever. It will help as all balls played so far will be returned to the back.
Next is an increased version where a lifter will return balls to a storage tank to refill the machine. Then you starting to have what parlours have.

2: as above but on a giant scale. Balls are constantly being returned, cleaned, lifted and returned to ramps above the machine aisle with chutes off to each machine.

3: of course. Any way that works is a good way

That's something I don't know about: how + when do parlors clean the balls?
How has this practice changed over the decades? What's the automation involved?

Basically no. Its locked into the machines code to meet gambling legislation.
