my vehicle went in the shop the other day,, and it was there oh,, i would say two days,, and when they returned it there was sun glasses and tools in it that weren't there when it went in,, are they mine?? or do i return them?? now remember prosession is 9/10th's of the law?? and there in my vehicle..

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...........how much did they charge you. And you have to ask yourself why are there woman's glasses in your car. Did they use your car for a few errands or maybe a rendezvous. Let us think about this. Auto shops are suppose to make sure they keep your car clean. (No grease or oil marks) So if they left their tools inside your car, that means they didn't pay attention to cleanness. Me, I am not a saint. I consider it the price of doing business. (Don't get me wrong. If I found a wallet on the ground, I would return it as found.-And have done exactly this.)


Yeah....Yeah ...... Yeah.....I am sure there are a hundred different ways to see this. I have to have some fun don't I..........(The glasses I would probably return, but the tools I would keep for the above reason.)

If it were me, I'd return them.
As an extra touch... put them in a gift box, and put a tag on it that says, "To the Mechanic that Fixed My Vehicle".
They will remember you, and treat you right the NEXT time.

I had my 78 olds omega broken into about 12 years ago in a downtown public lot. I thought something was strange as all of the overhead bulbs were out. When I got to the car the rear passenger window was smashed. You could tell this was kids as they had pulled off the emergency break handle thinking it was the hood release. The car was old enough that the hood release was in the front bumper LOL. I think I distrubed them. The knobs for the radio had been removed but they had not gotten further. In repaiment for my broken window. I got a good set of snapon (probably also stolen) wrenches and two pairs of pliers.
