    Default Machine stopped awarding balls.

For some reason My Pachinko machine has stopped awarding balls.

It used to drop them frequently so I never ran out. Now it never awards them and I run out of balls.

Is there a switch setting, or something else I don't know about?

    Any input is welcomed.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Hi. I am sure we can help you. Do you have some photos of the machine that you can post including shots of the back of the machine so we can see the payout functions.

Your question is a little vage. Are the balls going into the start pocket. do the reels spin.
Your pictures show the rear tank and rail empty. Make sure its full. especially as there is a weight sensor at the top of the rail.

Also remember to lift the ball stopper when you fill the hopper.

Question: Has your machine worked since late 2018? Your pictures look to be the same as those when you joined. Or did this problem start back then and the pictures look the same as the machine today? Just thinking out loud.

The machine otherwise works fine. The reels spin, music plays and it reacts like it's awarding balls, but they do not drop into the start bin.

The pictures I posted are older. The rear bin and rail are full and the ball stop is lifted.

I was having a problem with the balls backing up at the bottom of the playfield (circled in pic). I opened front part and a couple of balls dropped out from between the playfield and the rear electronics.
That cleared the jam, but the balls stopped dropping into the start bin.

Have you opened the ball payout area to see if there is any debris or any parts hanging up in there?

your machine should lean back a bit.. that will help the losing balls exit the cell.. i forget the angle but 7 to 10 degrees should give ya an idea

please post a pic of "start bin".. im confused

Well, I finally got to look at the payout area. I got most of the balls out and it started awarding balls, but that's all it did. It stopped dropping balls out the back, so eventually it ran out of balls.

I cleared the payout are again and now it backs up at the bottom of the playfield.

I think I need to open up the machine to access between the playfield and the electronics in the back.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Well if its going it systematically. It's probably just catching up on payouts. Most moderns store win information and will then payout when they are able.

It did go crazy dropping balls at first, then it seemed to catch up and only dropped them when appropriate. I think there's something inside the machine that is causing this problem. When I bought the machine it was shipped with balls inside and they spread all over. I'm wondering if there are still balls hidden inside that are causing the blockage.

    Thanks for your input

It did seem to do this and then settled down.

When I bought the machine it was shipped to me with the balls still inside. During shipping they got all over, including where they are not supposed to be. I am thinking there may still be some balls in there causing the problems.

    Thanks for your input.

As you open it up look over all the paths where balls roll. Even the smallest piece of debris can cause random balls to hang up and back up. You can use some Q-tips and rubbing alcohol to clean the ball paths while you have it opened up.

Most of the parts are modular in their assembly. It is a good idea to take pictures while you disassemble things to aid in reassembly if needed later.

Loose balls usually don't and can't block anything, they are round and they roll out of the way. There may be a piece of debris or commonly I find a screw laying there in a pathway. Open up the entire machine including swinging out the payout assembly and simply take a look. While you are in there, clean that baby out, they are all dirty to some degree after an idle time of not being taken apart.

I found it! I turns out the pin was not in the loop. Once I put it back, in it started working perfectly.

Thank you to everyone for your valuable input!
