Default CR Back To The Future broken - help

So I retrieved my collection from storage last week, and it seems that the company rummaged through my vaults and damaged my 2008 Sammy BTTF machine. The interior door glass is shattered, and the ball launcher seems to no longer grab and launch the balls. Is there anything I can do about the glass other than somehow remove it? And the ball launcher I’m not sure if I have to replace the whole mechanism or...?

If you open the door if should be possible to remove the glass panel. Then see if it was bonded to a plastic rim or slotted in. If bonded you can then cut the seal holding the rest in then either take it to a local glazer to see if they can cut you one to fit. Ir make one yourself out of plastic. Or just source one from Japan.

    Thanks for the input!

Do I have to have the interior pane in order to play it?

I would say. Probably yes. Due to the distance between the nails and the outer panel. You would have to have quite a lean on the machine and even then. The balls may still just fall through to the bottom

Yes, you'll need both panes. The inner one keeps the balls on the playfield.
Open the door and the glass should be in it's own frame. Pop it out and most "Glass & Mirror" shops (google it near you) should be able to cut and replace. Figure it's a $35-70 charge.

Then clean out all the glass and chips from your machine. I assume that some pieces are in the shooter track and that's why it's not shooting?

    Good Luck.

Thanks for the advice! I'll go ahead and do that. I guess I just need to remove the door and take it with me. Hopefully that won't be too complicated.

Is the shooter knob not turning or is the hammer just not moving to hit the balls. If the second, check the dongle for being loose or damaged.

Now I need to figure out how to (if possible) remove the door from the frame.

Shouldn't need to. Just turn those white catches. Then the glass should come out on it's own.

Or something like that. They are made so the glass can be changed quickly and easily.

The knob turns and balls sometimes launch but then it seems you have to turn it all the way or the balls fall back into the mechanism and it stops working. I made a short video showing it.

The glass assembly is usually held in place by a couple clips like the white one in your second picture. Turn them to unlock and gently lift the glass up and out.

If you want remove the door entirely then you may need to remove several wire harnesses on either side and disengage the latch on top.

Pachinko machines are usually set up pretty logically so removing some parts are easy . Have some nice mechanic work gloves before removing the play field glass . Good luck and please be safe .
