Nishijin Super DX model C project
I got a new restoration project; it’s a Model C with the seagull and cool palm tree trim! Nothing fancy, it’s got a generic center feature but it seems like it will clean up good and only missing part is a track cover. Model C’s are the easiest to restore too!Since the back mechanics pop off as one piece and the front frame is covered in formica which still looks new. I’m thinking of a more colorful factory playfield replacement!

I humbly take back previous boasting about no stink bugs. Upon disassembly I discovered this one too was a stink bug’s home (and tomb) because there’s one long dead and dried out in the left most tulip!Those are the quality control inspectors!

Ironically this is the factory background “Sunrise” that came from the factory on my other fishing themed model C I restored a few months back. I changed the background on that one to the fish/starfish background to match the center feature.not usually a fan of changing the cells.. this one is a definite improvement
For my next restoration project up in line; the super rare Sanyo Majong 11 tulip I think I’ll have to stick with the original design, I’ll have to get it scanned and custom printed.
