Default Yamasa Dr A7 - E0 error occuring when Idle

    Hello

I understand the E0 error is a token sensor error from reading online, but with my machine it seems like it could be something else as I have done a full reset and got the machine on without error and it could sit idle for 5 minutes then get a E0 error without ever putting a token in. Any idea what this might be?

Also can anyone possibly tell me where to find a user manual and/or service manual for this machine?

    All help is greatly appreciated

It could still be a faulty sensor in the token acceptor. Seeing as they use IR sensors and receivers. if the sensor is starting to fail or dirty. It may send false reading after a while.

So would the best bet be to fully remove the sensor for the coin in rail and clear reassemble?

Well if it's a normally open signal. Disconnect the coin mech and leave it and see what happens. If it's a normally closed signal. Disconnect the coin mech and see if it goes straight into the same error instantly.

Then whilst it's out. Clean all the sensors. Might be 2 or 3 or more. If after all that and still problems. Try replacing the sensors if you have the skills. Or search for a replacement coin mech.

Seems like it is a normally open switch, which I fully cleaned and reinstalled, but I am just referring to the main IR switch in the initial rail coming from the coin schute. It seems to me their must be another switch causing the EO error randomly as again the error is gone after reset and the schute reads and accepts tokens fine for a bit and the left idle for a random amount of time like 5-30 mins or so the machine turns the error blast on with no warning or use.

Is their another switch that can trigger e0? Or are their service manuals available I could check so I'm not guessing?

    Thanks,
    Al

Unknown. But there are normally 3 sensors in a row on the coin acceptor. And sometimes one at the end of the rail. Its possible all might cause that error. If it doesn't do it with the coin mech out. There would be a good place to start. Intermittent faults are the worst to find cause it's never broken when your testing.

Sounds like one more more capacitors and/or resistors are reaching the end of being in tolerance so then you wind up with the circuit ok in start up or reset then when they "warm up" they go out of tolerance and you get the error.

Capacitors and resistors will go out of tolerance and fail maybe in a couple Decades or some sooner .

Sensors are the same they will fail after a time and given that the machine's that we collect were used hard for two years in a parlor they need loving attention .
