Default volume dampening on a Maturi frame apollo

I have an Apollo arepachi which is in a Maturi frame.
Has anyone installed volume controls / potentiometers to help dampen the volume?

I noticed the sound runs from the top boards of the machine immediately to the front panel speakers, but unsure how easy it is to open that up so before I tear it to pieces (I've only gone so far as removing all the glass panes) I'm curious what other people have done for this style of machine.

Did you notice the factory volume control button? The lowest level isn’t bad; I’ve never felt the need for additional volume controls on this frame.

You have to open the front door/tray to access it.

Thanks! Is that exposed by removing the inner ring of latches from the door backside?

open the front door glass.. find the latch on the non hinge side that will allow the shooter tray to swing open.. the 3 position switch is located by the lower hinge..

hahaha ok I'm dumb, I thought the front "vents" implied that's where the speakers were.
