Default transitional pachinko machines, from the analog to electric eras

here is a list of all of the transitional pachinko machines we have compiled so far
    http://pinballnovice.blogspot.com/20...-machines.html

These are the machines that started incorporating electricity into the gameplay, beyond the flashing of lights.
This has been compiled by a number of people, including a few members of pachitalk, and we'd love any additional help! This is a community project.

    NEEDED:
    pictures of Super Janken Man
    pictures of Hippo
+ any others we might have missed
better photos of any of the machines (front, back, and detail of the feature)
years of any of the machines
descriptions for any that don't have them
    videos

These transitional machines are highly collectible. This is not a fore-sale post, and I will not reveal who owns which machines are featured in the post. Thank you so much to everyone who has pulled machines out and taken photos for me.
The topic of transitional-era machines seems to come up regularly, so hopefully this will serve as a resource for the pachinko collector community.
    WANTED: 10¥ games, pre-1950s machines, スマートボール (Smart Ball), payazzo/kronespill, Pickwick-style (~1905)
if you have any of these in North America, let's talk.

Nice resource! I’ve never seen several of those!

You are missing the “Circus” Kanless AKA Creepy Clown pachinko; give me a week or two and I’ll have some pictures of a fully restored one!

does it have an electric features besides the shooters? Not sure if I should include random 70s-style machine with just electric shooters. I'm assuming those are somewhat more prevalent?

    Super Janken-Man has been added

Anyone here have photos of 'Hippo'?
looking forward to adding lotsoballs' Circus Kanless when ready.

Can people please review and help me fill in years?
If you check your license tag on your machine it usually means it was made a year before that expiry date.
We have over 10 machines listed with no year.

no just electro shooters.. but they are early factory machines not retrofits.. you are right, they do not exactly fit the criteria you have started

is this a transitional electric machine? It just seems like a random 1970s pachinko.

also I'm not seeing the Morrisseau connection, can you elaborate? I'm drinking my morning coffee from a Morrisseau mug as we speak.

pachitalk isn't currently letting em upload photos, but https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/uyoAAOSwCSVgK0bt/s-l1600.jpg

One is a PowerFlash Thunderbird (solenoids), the other you posted is just a regular Thunderbird theme.

PowerFlash machines are pretty obvious with either 9 or 10 tulips, card theme, and “PowerFlash” emblem.

Default transitional pachinko machines, from the analog to electric eras

I found yet another one on yahoo Japan auctions; it’s in the exact same frame as the “regular” model C I am currently restoring. Looks like it has an hourglass in the center feature?! Perhaps it’s supposed to be a time machine??

Anyhow; it’s a special electric with solenoids so might be a good addition to someone’s collection.

thanks, I'll check that movie out. I just bought a really rare Morrisseau book of his late 90s paintings.
