    Default Poor Old Eyes

Picked up a few tabacco tins of balls from a local fellow cleaning out his basement. He claimed they are from the '50's, but the tins had health warnings on them, and I'm pretty sure smoking was still good for you in the 50's, so take that story with a grain of salt.

Regardless, some new symbols I didn't have in my collection, so that is fun.

Biggest bummer is - when did my eyes get so old? After a few minutes of sorting, I can't see a darned thing anymore!

How did the parlours keep track? Random sampling? A camera of some type?

I'm sure lots of folks explore their collections - do any of you "display" them? (Show off your balls!)

    Cheers!
    /Kris

Are there some that are uncommon or rare to find? I haven't went through mine yet, but it's a mixture of different places like blue ribbon, kinnotama, Ginza Kaikan, Monako, and ones I cant read

Here's another thread with related material about balls if anyone wants to add/merge their finds to it or vice versa.

Engraved pachinko balls can gather up more dust and dirt from the machine . I can't tell you how many times I've had to clean them back in the 1970's when I got my First Pachinko . I used a old T shirt and chrome polish back then .

I like the new smooth, silver and gold chrome balls they work better in the cleaned machines that I have now.
