Default My ball feeder doesn't work in my Model A

Hi all. I am really stuck. Everything in this pachinko machine works except the ball feeder. I don't know how to get in to troubleshoot it. I do have the video that Steve Fury made and I can see what should happen but..... Anyhow I have some pictures if anyone can help me. 1. back of machine 2. front 3. lever without nail 4. lever with nail. (came that way) 5. back of flipper

if you unhook it from the wire it should allow the shooter to come back to its rest position.. then it will be resting on the clear tab of the swing arm.. place it below that clear tab.. its function is when the bottom tray is full it will rise up and stop the clear swing arm from loading balls to the shooter..

if ya take a look at this vid you can see (briefly) how it works.. i did not cover the shooter operation very well. watch time set 2:56 or so for a few seconds

the nail is there to keep the low ball stop from working.. if you have enough balls remove it

Thank you so much. It still isn't shooting balls, and it doesn't look like your video. I bought more balls hoping that might help, but no. I'm going to take a video of my shooter tomorrow so you can see what you think. Thanks again!

Can you post a pic of the loader inside the front door? Open the glass and there is a button on the left to open the door.

Looks like you may have a broken loader part or just on the wrong side of the shooter part. Pic for reference. Post part from loader in the door.20210107_182429-1.jpg

I see the post from the loader mech in the door in your first pic. Does it reach the shooter parts like in my pic when the door is closed?

The pic I posted shows the acrylic post from the door loader mechanism and how it should reach the acrylic part on the back the shooter moves. Each time you pull the shooter handle down it should load a ball into the track.

the back looks like your heading in the right direction..

can you open the front door shooter tray.. then as you shut it make sure the long clear acrylic post passes under the swing arm.. that way when you pull the handle is swings the swing arm.. that act will pull down on the clear acrylic post loading a ball to the shooter

We have progress! We can now get the shooter to shoot the balls! However, they don't drop into the field of play. They just circle around and drop. Also, the balls aren't dropping into the shooter from the tray, they just get stuck. So we open it up and manually get 4 or 5 balls to drop, close it up, and the shooter will shoot those 4 or 5 balls and then no more balls will drop. Ideas? Thank you so much for your help everybody! I think we are close!

You can adjust the shooter spring tension on the back for more force. Check the alignment of the loader mechanism inside the door. Also check for anything in that loader that may be impeding free ball movement.

Took all the balls out of the shooter tray and everything is clear. The gate is keeping the balls from entering the shooter. There are plenty of balls in the hopper, so could that isn't the problem. I looked at your video and also Moparformances' video multiple times. That's when I discovered it was the gate that was keeping the balls from entering the shooter. Ideas? Sure appreciate your help! Thank you!

The gate is controlled by this wire on the door loader mech in conjunction with the wire in the back for low ball shutoff. May need to be bent a bit to keep the gate fully open.20210109_155210-1.jpg

Not sure which way to bend it. Sending a picture. Also sending a picture of the way the front closes. We have to go to the back of the machine and lift the wire so the door will close. Is that the way it should work? That way the front wire is under the back wire. (does that make sense?)hard to shut.jpginside door.jpg

wrong.. the wire on the door should be on top of the wire from the machine..

as the machine runs out of balls in the top back hopper the wire threw the machine is lowered, in return lowing the wire on the door, in return lowering the ball stop, in return keeping balls from entering the shooter..

    hope that make sense LOL

you might need to bend the wire on the door up a fraction of an inch so as you close the door it ride up and over the wire passing threw the machine.. this must happen if the machine is loaded or empty on balls.. if the machines top hopper is empty the front flag should be down and not allow balls to enter the shooter.. if the back top hopper is full the wire should ride up lifting the flag and allow balls to enter the shooter..
