Sammy E6 and E1 Errors - no keyslot and reset not working

Hi, I've had this Sammy (c) 2000 KITARO SP game for a long time but it started to throw an E6 error. I tried some power cycle and 'hold down the door button' steps that have worked in the past, but it doesn't seem to get the game back on track. The power supply doesn't have a keyslot, and the door latch has a microswitch and the door has a blue button, but all of these combos don't seem to do a thing. Does anyone know any other steps that might help?
