    Good news, I replaced the spring and bent the upper support over a bit so it stops the balls as designed. It works great now and puts out the jackpots as it should. A few drops of oil helped a bit too.

    oil is not recommended.. in the beginning it works great.. then attracts dust and dirt and makes things worse.. clean polish and assemble dry

    Are you saying the L shaped piece does not move down to hold the balls from rolling down the ball dump chute?

    Here's a link to a video of my machine in action. I have it working nicely now and will leave it as is. One question, why is it labeled both Kyuraku and Nishijin? From what I've read Kyuraku started in business in 1952 and Nishijin in 1951, I think this one has to be one of the earliest, with no stickers or labels anywhere.
