    Default Sanyo Butterfly acquisition

Just drove 2.5hr one-way to get this Sanyo in northern Ontario. It's beautiful but needs work - the metal is sticky all around but it's been well preserved for the most part.

I read somewhere it's unusual to find a Sanyo with the electrics still in; not sure where to connect the 9v battery leads..

The drop-down shooter panel was unexpected!

One question is that I'm kind of confused by the playfield pieces. I've seen this butterfly also on Nishijin machines. While all vintage games have the same tulip pieces and pinwheels, I'm confused how a machine made by a different company (Sanyo, Nishijin, Heiwa, etc) can all feature the same center payout themes since I assumed these were custom to the company and model release...

the general consensus is a few sub manufactures made parts and then sold them to the company's that made the machines.. lots of cross overs out there if your lucky you will find a power flash with a white std play field.. i think it had Fish on it..

if memory serves me power to the top two points.. i have used male bullet points pushed into that style connector
