Lookiing to possibly purchase this machine, BUT theres an error issue. I have a Rodeo Charlies Angels that I picked up a month ago and now I'm hooked. This one is up for sale locally, but is a bit more that I'm familiar with. Anyone know what the issue might be and is it easily remediable? Please let me know. Thanks in advance and looking forward to being an active member!!

unknown. Could be anything from that. Run out of tokens. Sensor issue, requires reset. anything. If its cheap and you don't mind the risk if its a door stop, give it a go. You might get a great deal.
If it comes with a load of tokens as well. the better.

Asking $125 OBO, but he's flakey and doesnt respond 75% of the time so it might be going nowhere.. .

With the message being something about "abnormalities of backup" could the problem be that it's losing it's settings? If my machines sit powered-off for too long they lose their saved settings and require a reset. Once reset and allowed to charge a bit (memory capacitors) they then don't have problems on startup, unless of course I let the capacitors lose charge again. Have the seller leave it sitting for an hour and then do a reset (and set odds of needed). See if that fixes the problem. Then, have them turn the slot off and back on. See if the issue resolves itself. If so, then it would match my experiences with losing saved settings on my slots.

FYI, I would imagine losing your saved settings is a no-no for any slot machine (odds settings are important). Call the attendant. Reset the odds. Save settings. Insert token!

sound over priced for a not 100% working machine..

I'm slightly familiar with the asking prices on your average/older Pachislo machine. around here, the average asking price is between $150 - $350. I recently bought a Rodeo "Charlies Angels" that was mint but the seller didn't know anything about it and just today picked up a Yamasa "New Pulsar T" , slightyly used but in outstanding condition for $50 each. The newer ones like this are few and far between, at least here in Texas. They look cool and do not come available very often. What is a realistic selling price, if it were fully functional?

One thing I have learned about these machines with the screen surrounding the reels, is that once the screen goes, it's done. I've seen several posts of folks looking for a replacement with no luck. True or no?

What are these types of machines called? Do they have a more specific name due to the screens or are they just referred to as Pachislo machines?
