Thumbs up Star wars BODV. What do the points score mean

So what does the points /score on the small pop up screen mean in relation to the play of the game? And, while we are at it, how about the set 1 and set 2 etc?
    Appreciate any help understanding this.
    Thanks

    Hello there
You will find quite a lot of information on the page in the Link.
The page is in Japanese but google translates it for 80%
    https://www.pachinkovillage.com/pachinko/p.php?M=2713

Tip: you can also try to traanslate the Japanese text on your Pahinko
with the google translate camera function on your smartphone,
this does not work flawlessly, but then you know something about what is
on those labels "on or in" your Pachinko.

I also have a "Star Wars Battle of Vader" and am currently working on an enclosure,
You can follow the progress in the next thread if you like

Sorry but didn't noticed your name, and only now notice that you are already following my thread.
De cabinet is progressing well , I will do an update on the thread today or tomorrow.
Then getting the Pachinko in without causing damage is also gonna be quite a task.

Thanks for the link. Good information. I'm learning that there is not the same progression of information as there is for American pinball. Best to just grab the handle and hang on. Regarding your cabinet build, are you an engineer? Just wondering because your work is so disciplined.
    Having fun.

I think the pachinko is more of a game of chance and there is little technique involved.
(I personally don't think this is a disaster, I like the audio-visual trip you take while sitting in front of it)
I suspect that for an experienced player it is all about the information on the Battlecounters
that actually belong to a machine, from which they get information about the status of the device.
And from this info they know which device has the highest chance of making a profit.

My Job: I work as a mechanic in a factory that mainly produces
high pressure heat exchangers for the chemical industry worldwide.
In the metal sector, work is done fairly accurately (mm) related to woodworking (cm).
So that when you start processing wood you automatically aim for that accuracy.
That shure does give a nice result, but of course that does not benefit the productivity ;-)

    One more question.
Have you tried to turn off the annoying Click sound? (In "Attrack" mode,
if you are playing then it doesn't bother of course)
There is a possibility to turn them off. But then you have to unplug some plugs at the back.
    I haven't tried it yet.

I think you are right about the game being more about chance than skill. It is a fun visual.
I have seen the videos and threads of disabling the diverters. I am still trying to determine what happens to the balls when the diverters are stationary. I am thinking more are going to the center rotating chance device. Part of me is wanting to keep the machine as designed. I don't leave the machine on very much when not being played so I have not been too annoyed yet. I will try it some time I think.
    Have fun.

It still seems nice if you can leave it on attract mode without annoying clicking.
It is perfectly possible to put a switch between them so that you can turn them on when you want to play.
Only I have no idea how the computer will reacts to this. I fear an error if you switch while it is on.
And can the computer handle this ???

I also thought about a switch but yes, hot pluging as it's referred to is a concern. I looked closer at the diverters and noticed that at resting, the left diverter will send the balls to the bottom and the right one will send the balls to the center spinner for more chance for reward. I read a post here about briefly turning the machine on with the plugs reversed then turning back on with the plugs removed. I don't know if that will work any better though it may just switch the favored one to the left side.

In the beginning I thought why do they actually make it so noisy?
But I suspect when you enter a pachiko parlor in Japan you don't even notice, with all that sound of a few hundred pachinkos :-)
Now I have to say, I mounted it in the cabinet yesterday and the sound is already a lot less.
maybe some sound deadening mats strategically placed on the inside. still yield some profit.
When it is quiet you will of course always hear it. But with eg the Radio or TV on. you hardly hear it.

    Welcome Aboard

I sold my 2 a few years ago. at £400 each. Both came with a UK spec transformer.
One of them I was told had one of the clicker motors fail. (common fault)

your best bet is do What I did and try and find one in Japan and ship it to the UK.

Basically. Where ever you get it from. It will be a used item. So it will be a bit hit and miss. You might get a mint one. Or one with a slight tint ot tobacco or worse. if using YJA or will need a middle man to do your buying. With Rakuten. Some will ship for you or its middle man again. WARNING Shipping will be very expensive. Budget £300 for the shipping alone.
