String length seems fine. Needed to put the "tension tab" on the next to last notch to get it to fire all the way to the FOUL chute. Currently using a toggle switch for testing. When toggled om, without twisting the knob the ball clears the track and shoots about the first "funnel" of nails over the 1st spinner. When knob twisted fully, most balls will go into the foul chute. That seems about right. I need to make a spacer to mount the switch to, in order for it to line up with the tab (that I added) that presses it. The string rubs against metal, so I also need to add another pulley to guide the string.
Nothing worthy of pics yet. Now I need to learn how to post a video!

Cant find a small pulley. Did fond a #6-32 knirled brass nut, with a nice curved groove. Works as good as a pulley.

Finally added the switch, and mounted the transformer. Seems to work well. When knob turned even slightly, the motor starts without excessive rotation. Launches balls with enough force to clear the track. Full rotation launches strong enough to send the balls into the foul chute. Varying pressure produces predictable results!
As mentioned earlier, I probably should have adjusted the string length. The pivot arm is at mid point when string is attached. As it stands...it shoots with the motor as described. When flipping the lever manually, you barely move the lever and of shoots with great strength. Simply put...it is tricky to make soft shots to the left side of the play field manually. Maybe I'll tinker with it later. If I do adjust string length, then the switch must be located.
