Default Unusual Nishijin pachinko with flipper and knob

I recently picked up this Nishijin machine that has both a flipper and an automatic knob. The mechanism for the knob has been removed at some point. I have researched and have found no mention or pictures of any machine like this. Does anyone have any knowledge of the existence of this type of machine? Pictures attached. Thanks for any information you might have.IMG_1471.JPGIMG_1474.JPG

I’ve seen posts about them before; I think it’s an aftermarket shooter installed on some?

Anyhow, unusual find! Too bad it’s not functioning!

I believe they are a factory conversion...much like "single ball conversion" machines. They probably talked about motorized shooters, and maybe this was a way to test the concept. I once bought the motorized shooter kit from a machine parted out on eBay for about $30.00. I haven't converted any machine yet, as I don't want to ruin any of my "keepers".
Not that I would ever do it...but a motorized knob on a '50s era machine would be funny!

There once was a string that would have wrapped around the shooter knob. it goes around the pulley on the opposite side., then back towards the knob area. I can't remember what it attached to. Maybe I should find that box of parts...

Doing a brief search of threads, I found a few pics of the machine that was parted out. I started a thread of the parts I bought...but haven't found it yet.

I found the box of shooter parts! However I can't post pics for some reason.
As I look At the parts in front of me, and the machine I posted above...NOT the same parts! Exactly the same brand, logo, shape, etc. NOT the same colour electrical tape, Not the same rust patterns or wear marks etc. However it is exactly the same "KIT" made to convert "flipper" machines. I must have saved the pics above as an "installation guide".
I have cellphone pics of the parts. I guess I'll finally install "tappatalk" (is that even huw it is spelled?) and see if I can post them that way.

I know the fork part bolts to the flipper and is toggled by the crank on the motor. A string wraps around a pulley on the knob, goes to the small pulley on the other side...? There is a SPST momentary micro switch that is enabled by the string I think.
I started a thread on it somewhere that has pics and thoughts on it when I first got it. I tested it...to the degree that I plugged it in and when switched, the motor spins. There is no adjustment for speed or strength. I was thinking that some kind of POT or variable resistor could be installed where the switch is, and controlled by the string.

A pic from one of Mopar's machines. Now it all makes sense! Rotating the knob pulls the string. Pulling the string increases shot power because it is attached to the shooter spring!
I am definately sifting through my machines looking for a winter time project!
