Default Help with my first Pachinko

I just acquired my first Pachinko machine and was hoping someone could provide a bit of guidance on an issue that I am having. The machine is a Daido Fever (also says Astra New Version DH12...picture attached). The issue is that the balls back up in the start pocket. When the first ball goes in the start, the lights flash, sound plays and the reels spin. There is no payout as I've read some other do, so I'm not sure it this one should pay out or not when a ball goes in start. When the second ball goes in the start pocket, nothing happens. Same for the third, fourth, etc. The chute fills up and balls just drop to the bottom into the collection bucket. If I take a magnet pickup tool and get all of the balls out of the start pocket, the next ball in will start the lights, sound, and reels spinning (no payout), then next one does nothing.

When we first started using it, the ball stop was down and we got a bonus round. The green light came on in the top left corner but nothing paid out. After a little research, I discovered the problem and moved the stop lever up and kept feeding balls into the top hopper until it quit paying out and the green light went out. I left the lever up, which I assume is the correct position.

Also, a couple of general questions...what causes the "OPEN" chute to open? We had it open for the bonus round, but I'm just not sure how we got there. Finally, how difficult is it to get to the speaker in this machine to install a volume control potentiometer? I can't see the speaker in the back, so it looks like some disassembly may be required.

    Thanks everyone!

    Alan

sounds like you may have something blocking the ball path of the start pocket.. inside the start pocket..

its good that the machine caught up on its owed jackpots.

    more pics please

    and of course

the trap door will open when you get a match on the reels

volume is easy to install with some simple testing you find the speaker wires and install your choice of volume controls

3 matching numbers/symbols starts the fever/bonus round; 777 or 333 on some machines or any 3 in a row on others. Not unlike a slot machine/pachislo.

777 is the best combo and sometimes results in a “special fever” and it hits big. Not sure about a 90s digipachi though.

If balls are backing up in that “open” trap door you’ve got a jam of some sort that needs cleared.

Thanks everyone! After checking again, I discovered that there were more balls that had become jammed. After clearing these out, everything is working fine now. I really appreciate the help!

Now for a few more rounds of Pachinko!
