    Default Machine Identification

Does anyone know what this machine is, and how I would get in it? Don't have keys. There's a cut electric cord coming off it, but i don't know any voltage spec so I won't try rewiring it yet.

    Thanks

Its an Arrangeball. For vintage pachis. Its one of the more desirable types. This seems to be the basic 16 grid version. Although others know a lot more about them than me.

although this one is branded as Chance Ball.

As for getting in. I don't know, Maybe others will advise.

for some reason i'm unable to view these off site pics.. please post pics hear i know we can get you heading in the right direction..

if it is an arrange ball machine reach into on of the holes on the non hinge side.. there is one of a couple different style of latches.. most are a lift style so you catch the latch with a finger and lift up.. there are two top and bottom latches they are connected so lifting one will lift the other.. less common is a center style latch where you have to pinch two tabs together.. there easy to spot cause the hole is unusually in the center and you can see the two tabs..

again post pics hear.. there are a few of us that have played more then one of these..

    and of course

front seems rough and maybe missing some of the tray pieces? And if the cord is cut, beware the electronics might be in bad shape and/or missing.
Buy with extreme caution, or be sure to just pay for it as a parts machine.

I looked again and found the key. so I was able to get inside. I think it has the trays? There's one on the left and right.

can you post a pic of the tray that would catch the winning tokens.. the first pic you posted seem overly 2 dimensional for some reason

Looks like There's a datecode of '85 on the caps, which would roughly match up with the Toshiba logo on the IC's. Board looks hand laid out, so that seems right visually. I'm still not sure what the ICs are yet, not having much luck pulling up datasheets, if they even exist.

The trays at the bottom are in awful condition, the one on the left opens up from the bottom. Ash tray perhaps? Not figured out how to get in the playfield yet.

Would this have been like a commercial machine, or one of those home slot machines you can buy from like Costco?

This is a commercial machine. The only pachinkos that aren't commercial machines are toys.
(some machines were converted for a home market, but they started as commercial machines. And no arrangeballs were converted and sold for home market)
I'd buy it if the price was good.

looks like you got it open..

also looks like it was under (salt) water for a while.. the trays might clean up.. ya can't really hurt them any more..

now that is it open there is a latch on the token insert side. you should be able to lift and the glass door out front should pop open..

    more pics please

    lots more

Yeah, I found the key was attached to the back of it. Didn't see it at first haha.

The case and inside doesn't look to be water damaged, so I'm not sure it was under water. Maybe animals? idk. I haven't tried cleaning it up or anything yet.

I'll get some more photos of the inside and try to get in to the playfield tomorrow.

Thanks for all the info everyone!
