Default What do these knobs do

Picked up my pachinko machine from my parents basement that’s been stored about 10 years. Everything working except the power from the handle is not quite enough to get the ball into the playing field. I never had any problem with that so I was wondering if the knobs in the pic have anything to do with it or if there is anything else for the adjustment or if I have something simply not working properly now? Definitely needs a good cleaning as well but wanted to start with the problem first.

Hmm turned them both to what looks to be max and no change. If I turn them down the shooter doesn’t work at all but I’m not getting enough power to get the ball out of the shoot. Anyone have any advice where to start to figure what’s not working right?

Oh No. From that picture. I guess Its a Heiwa with a B1f board

These boards are prone to failing with age and stops the shotter working. Unfortuatly, non of our electronic grus have ever had one to diagnose the fault with them.

Here are some pics of the issue and the machine. Still seeing no issue with anything at all other than the shooter. English name I can find is Tripletta.

I took a couple videos showing it but can’t find a way to add to the post. I can take any photos that might help anyone give advice. I’m super bummed and not sure if parts are available or if something isn’t doing what it should from something user error.

If anyone has any ideas please help.

Could the power supply be the issue just for the shooter? Screen and sound and every light working fine as well as all the payouts and whatnot.

Could you post a clear photo of the whole back of the machine? Have you "exercise" your Molex ( connector plugs ) disconnect the reconnect the plugs .

I have not yet, I kind of wiggles them a little and they seemed secure but I will try that tomorrow. I think I have followed the wires from where they come out of the turn knob. I believe it’s two plugs that go into the control system.

How are your electronics skills ie, soldering, using a multimeter, re-capping ( new blue capacitors with the plus and minus on the sides?

You might have to replace all those blue capacitors behind the blue plastic B-1 f Control System .

Its also worth. Just checking the removable cel/playing field is correctly located. If its not flush. It can cause additional resistance and prevent the balls from travelling full distance.
Open the front tray and check the condition of the shooter hammer as well. Press the little lever on the front bottom left when the glass door is open.

When the B1f normally fails. the shooter doesn't work at all.

The left knob is touch sensitivity, the right is power.

Right knob has to be full power to work. Sensitivity one doesn’t seem to make a big difference yet as of not actually playing it.

I look at the track and the cell all look good and in place.

Posting a couple pics. First is regular of the shooter piece and then the 2nd I push the piece forward as far as I can and then turn the know and the ball flies into the playing field. Is there an adjustment down in there for that piece. Quick note there are live wires underneath and caught a bit of a shock and my finger is tingly lol. I’m just excited for a slight bit of progress. Maybe just an adjustmwnt but it’s gonna be difficult to get into that area it seems.

Looking at the pic is the issue maybe that the spring has gotten worn out? Seems like there isn’t much tension on it. Not sure just an idea but again not sure how to get in there if that is what is needed.

    It Works!!!

I just messed with the shooter a little bit more and it started working. After that I was able to adjust the power and sensitivity and all is good now. Hopefully it won’t mess up again but maybe it was just a little stuck from being in storage for the past 10 years. Now the sound cuts out off and on but as soon as I touch the wires up at the top by the on off switch it comes back on so seems just a loose connection. Haven’t had time to look at that yet but it sure was a blast getting to play again!
