    Default Machine year and manufacturer

Hi, first time post. I just received this machine from a friend to clean and get it going again. I have worked on a few machines but have never seen one like this. I have an old Nishijian with the dual ball trays, but this one has no name on it. He was living in Japan as a kid and his Dad bought the machine for him around 1972? I got the lights to work and everything else works, payouts, etc. My question for you experts out there: who made this machine and dies it have a name? Can you tell what year it was made? Thanks for your help with this!

the tax stamp is gone so getting the date from the sticker is a no go.. there are guys hear that have perty much every year im sure they can pin it down..

super late 60's or super early 70's.. basically they brought it home in just expired condition..

machines from this era don't have names.. names or theme machines did not start until the later 70's

    and of course

its part of the original single shot.. when this machine was a single shot machine, (before it was converted to a meat grinder) that lever was used to send a double win back to the jackpot seesaw for payout..

if you manage to score 2 balls at the same time the second ball fell in to a holding area.. the play would flip that white lever and kick the ball into the jackpot seesaw and trigger a payout

on your machine it looks like the cover for the jackpot over flow was removed a red ramp installed and it now look like balls that are double winners are sent back to the shooter.. (way to screw the player )

Right on Mopar. It would have done the same exact thing that this button does to my 1962 Daiwa.

Hi Mopar, et al, I have a problem with my Model A. The ball goes though a payout and down but it then stops on the lever which is supposed to go down drop the ball and give a payout. Not sure why this lever is not going down easily with the weight of the ball. Also, I found a spring, maybe this needs to be attached somewhere for the lever to work properly? Any help is appreciated!! photos to follow.

Hi, thanks for the info. I took apart the seesaw. It was not lining up exactly with the loading ramp so made an adjustment or two and now it works great.
