Default Newbie Needs Help - Found this in a Barn

This Pachinko Machine was found in a barn, I'm currently working to get it back to functioning order. Does anyone know what kind/year machine this is?
The center piece seems to have housed some lights, does anyone have an suggestions on where I can locate parts/create my own?
The piece I am holding wasn't attached, just dangling from the tray when it was found. Does anyone know it's function/importance?

    First

What you have is called a Single shot pachinko Machine and you are Missing the middle of the center feature.

If you could post a photo of the Back of the machine it would help to know how much of the back mechanism that you have .

    now i understand your question..

the piece you are holding in the first post is a track cover it is bent down and to the left.. it keep the balls single fine as they enter the jackpot..

Not certain of year...but early '60s. Your bottom reward ball tray on the back is made of metal. I believe they started using plastic bottom trays in 1965.
Machine does look mostly intact. Linkage rods may be bent, or need adjusting...but look to be there. Do you have pachinko balls? Get a couple hundred for testing. With a working machine you want at least 1,000.
Mopar is correct about the part in your hand, The shiny chrome part sits on top of the twin tracks between the lower tray and jackpot dump tray. Chrome down with spring on top. The metal plate it is bolted to is a swing arm to swing it away for access to the tracks. When open, the arm points away from the back with the track cover hanging from the spring. When closed, the swing arm is parallel to the playfield, clipped to the track with that spring hook. The spring presses the track cover down to the track. Here is how is sits ready for play. Not the same brand of machine...but looks very similar.

I appreciate your help. I will get some balls and glass and see how things go.

I still need to figure out the center piece on the front, not sure where I can get that/what would be correct for my machine.
