New Owner needs help

Just bought my first Pachislo. Olympic Red Meteor.
Everything seems to work just fine and the machine is in beautiful condition.
However, I constantly get an E4 error on payouts. I know what it means and have done everything I know how to do to correct the problem.
The machine will payout, give an E4 error (which I clear with the key turn to the left) and payout again then another error and so on. I realize sometimes there is an actual jam but most of the time the hopper seems to be functioning just fine. Except for throwing the error.

What am I missing?

Would also love to talk to someone who also owns this machine.

Update on the E4 error. I'm no longer getting the "phantom" E4 errors where no coin is actually jammed.
I have taken the hopper apart a number of times. It is clean and lubricated. I recently had a jackpot which pays 15 coins many times.
My latest problem is the last coin is getting stuck in the coin chute and won't come out, causing an E4 error. Since I know the coins and hopper are clean, I'm pretty sure there is a microswitch hidden in there somewhere that must shut down the process a split second too soon allowing the last coin to stay in the chute. I've looked around a bit but don't see anything obvious. Any Olympia Red Meteor (or similar machine) owners out there that have had this experience?

On the KPE hopper. As the tokens come out, they press against a spring loaded bar. This bar blocks a photocell. and sends a signal saying a token has been paid out.

on my machine there is a spring loaded roller. I noticed on an 8 coin payout, it seems to work fine. However on all the 15 coin payouts I got, the last coin didn’t exit. Doesn’t seem to jam, I just think the roller or whatever stops working a freckle too soon and doesn’t let the last coin out.
