Spin knob on Arostrocrat Speed Racer stopped working. Ideas/replacement

I’ve got a speed racer with a spin knob that stopped working. I’ve checked the knob/assembly/connection server o the cabinet and everything looks ok but it just won’t respond.

any ideas for troubleshooting or pointers for where to purchase a replacement?

Some spin knobs use opto switches instead of micro switches. If the transmitter or receiver is dirty. The switch will not respond. Or it could be broken.

My machine was erratic in spinning, sometimes it would and others it wouldn't. I found the pin plug soldered to the small circuit board attached to the spin handle base was loose. The three soldered prongs inserted in the circuit board had come loose, solder broke?, now I can't find my little soldering iron for some delicate soldering. I found it by wiggling each wire connector while trying to make it spin and as long as I held the plug it worked every time.
