Perimeter Lights out on Pop-eye pachi

So I turned on the machine and heard a weird high pitch noise for a quarter second and now the side lights (horizontal) dont light up.

Now Ill sound crazy but im not sure if they typically work during the "attract mode" or only light up during bonus. If someone has one and can show me some regular game play (do the horizontal light bars light up on replay win or bells? etc) that would be helpful. TY in advance

I assume it's the older green Popeye with the screen around the reels and not the newer blue one??

I don't know if this will help, but old member TikiTim made a good video of his and at around 2 minuets in it shows the machine at a different angle while getting 3 bells and no side lights!!
