Default Fire Panic Future Trend Nishijin

Just brought this home and did some cleaning and unjamming. Looks like it's in pretty good shape. I'm just unclear about how the game plays, and specifically the fever.

The three pockets at the bottom, in Fire Panic, will open up the hanomono wings and let balls in that seem to spiral down, but they are caught at the bottom by a magnet. The spiral then just fills up until it get to the top and then a fire siren goes off until it's cleared out (by hand) or it's turned off and then will drop all the balls when it starts. Any help to figure out how to clear the balls here? Or how the fever play works?

I got it to work accidentally once.

any chance it is working correctly.. it might just take the right combination to get it to release them as intended..

    and of course

are you firing the balls into the pocket or placing them by hand? the same with the centre feature.

    WELCOME!!!

Usually you have to get a ball in the V hole to start a bonus round.. It sounds like balls aren't draining right maybe??

Finding a video on YouTube would probably show how it's supposed to work!!

If you post a closeup of the name on the back (black and white sticker on metal box) someone might be able to search the Japanese name for a video??

Yes, thank you so much for the video. It looks like the magnet isn't working like it should, you are correct. Likely the magnet has lost it's power perhaps?
It holds the balls, but never releases. Perhaps if I take off the cover in the back that holds the mechanism I can see what is going on with the magnet...
    Perhaps it's lost it's power.

This is the first Type C machine I've had, so the electronics are a bit overwhelming.

I'm hoping I'll see something obvious...?

ahhhhhhh that magnet is super cool!!!

Does the magnet move on your machine? The magnet itself would be turned on or off by the machine, but it is probably on a track to move.
It could be that the machine's electronics are set up to only release the magnet power when it has advanced to the end of the track, in which case there is nothing to turn it off.

Having worked with magnets in pinball, this can be dangerous and an easy way to pop a fuse, or fry a circuit if the mech isn't fused properly.

Yes, this is the exact way it should be working.
Could it be the type of balls?

Well, hmmm.... Unplugged to reset with three balls in the spiral, just like the video, and when I plugged it back it in the magnet worked with the three balls to fish the balls up and drop into V. So it looks like the magnet works, but perhaps a setting is wrong. I've got the weekend to look it over.

The same person I bought this from on Ebay, in Evansville, Indiana has 7 more of this type of machines, not the exact type but same style I think. He hasn't tested because he has no balls, and knows nothing. I'm thinking of picking up a couple more because...I'm hooked. $100 each. Good deal? I only have to drive about an hour and a half to pick them up, one way.

I think this era of machines is really fun, especially the hanemonos.. And I personally think $100 is good if they're working!!

The only ones to look out for are the Heiwas from the late 90s early 2000s because they used a computer controlled solenoid to shoot the balls and there seems to be something that goes bad in the B-1f Control System (it says that on the back bottom left of the machines) and makes the shooter stop working..There could be a fix for it but no one here has found one that I know of..

I've got some of the covers off and I could use some help.

There are gears that move the magnet over and back twice, but it only works when it's first plugged in, I assume to reset the machine.

    Here is a video

    Any help?

So, the motor works, but the gears don't work again when there are 3 balls in the queue.

    A sensor? Any ideas?

I have other pictures I'll try to post but my uploads are failing.

I visited the same person who I bought this from and picked up 3 more. 2 Pochi's and one with monkeys all over. Sankyos with hanemono. More to play with!

But while there I helped him test out some other machines and two were the Fire all boys like I had already picked up. It seemed to have the same problem. But when I dropped balls in the V and then the spiral...set it in fever mode...it seemed to work well with the magnet dragging into the V.

I'm thinking it's just a really tight game and difficult to get to fever mode. Wish I could loosen it up a little bit.

But I put it back together and will play with it more later (after I've got a chance to work with my new toys...)

are they genuine pachi balls , or are they ball bearings. pachi balls are 5.5g each.
If to heavy. that might be the problem

I think the balls are regulation. They came from clover collectibles.
But I have some older balls I could try with them.
