3 star ATTACK box add on.. little help please

working on a 3 star machine..

i have seen machines with a box like this but never in person..

does any one have access to a machine like this they can take pics of.. if you look at the pics it looks like there may be some kind of circuit board missing.. there seems to be to many wires to just connect them back..

hoping for a good set of pics or insight as to whats missing or not missing

I have 2 machines with the "attack" solenoid. Not sure what is missing...but something is not right. I'll dig them out and take some pics.

It appears that 2 wires are 24 vac for power. and the other 2 for the switch to activate it. My switch is mounted to the jackpot, so it opens each time a jackpot is hit. This is the inside of the one on my arrangeball machine. The 2 terminal blocks are ...1 for 24vac for the solenoid, and the other for lights.
That's all I have for now. I'll take pics later.

I don't see an "attack" door! What is activated when you move the linkage?

How about a board pic from inside the attack box?

I expected yours had something to do with the lights...which, may explain 6 wires instead of 4. But there is still a mechanical linkage that comes from the bottom and pulls up for a few seconds (Adjustable by a pot through a small hole in the bottom). I cant figure out what the linkage does.

My second one is on an arrangeball machine. It has the exct same door and solenoid. The linkage is also very similar.

Can you tell me where the wires trace to?

Do the 2 red separate wires come frome a power terminal and trace to the 4 black diodes? Could be the 24 ac in to bridge rectifier for solenoid power. Any markings on the solenoid?

How many wires are coming from the switch in the payout shoot and where do they go? Colors?

What is the solenoid controlling? Tulips opening?

Wow! So much different than either of mine! No adjustment for duration of solenoid pull...and just everything else.
The solenoid linkage goes to the lower left of the jackpot...but, looking at the front (lower right), I see nothing to be opened. Maybe it changes the ball path internally...but, for what purpose?

it seems to open the the left and right tulips..

it does not make allot of sense to me.. every winning ball opens the tulips?? maybe every 5 or 6th ball on and off the lights and then opens the tulips??

its an interesting machine for sure..

it does not show up in pics very well but it looks as though another piece may be missing?? see 5 pic on the 2nd post...

I see these Vintage pachinko Machines with Electronics and how they get the Machine to do what they want back in the day is amazing.

The First Vintage pachinko machine I saw was when my dad bought a Thunderbird Power Flash a year after I got my Castle Royal (1977 for me and 1978 for them).

Back then you were on your own and we didn't know about the relays and solenoids and that you needed a 24vac transformer to make it work. So we couldn't get the machine to totally function .

My Stepmother and dad left it out on unenclosed porch in the Wisconsin Winters and the last time I saw it it was rotting and rusting there and I asked my stepmother if I could have it and she said No.

I did get a Powerflash about in 2008 and got it working and when I was looking at the Queen Tulips I saw the White and Red Queen from "Alice in Wonderland" with the Ball on there crowns so I added the Illustrations from the original book .

I resized the Illustrations and used plastic laminate (office store thin one) to put them on and around the playfield .

It is one of my Prized Machines that I have.

I was wondering if there was a "light box"...some old analog brain to control the light sequence? Something feels missing. Too many wires loose, seemingly going to the same place. Looks like it's time to take more of it apart!
