    Default Stop board problem

    Hello,
Was wondering if anyone would be able to help me ?
I have a Sammy fire drift the machine will work without the fuse in the stop board every spin is 40 seconds or so, the machine does not work at all with a fuse in. The fuse does not blow it just doesn't do anything, I have replaced stop board wiring & mother boards & it's the same problem,
We're & what do I go from here?
Any info would be greatly appreciated, I have tried to look for info online & it is very limited and have only found what I have already tried. Many thanks in advance.

Can you clarify what you mean by machine doesn't do anything? Are you saying reels don't spin, etc.? Or, do the reels spin and stop after 40 seconds, just as when no fuse is installed?

You replaced the stop board, or the stop board wiring, or both?

Thanks for replying, I have replaced both the 30 pin strap wire & stop board.
The game will not play with the fuse in, the reels will not spin.

I can only play this game with the fuse removed & is 40 seconds a spin, waiting for reels to time out .

Have you checked to see if any of the buttons are jammed or faulty?

is there indicator lights on the processor when pressed. Some buttons use opto switches instead of mechanical. Need to confirm the action of each button. That goes for the spin lever and reset switches too.

Hi, I've just done a check of said actions , spin knob green led flashes when pressed as does red max bet led. Only the left green led illuminated for stop buttons which corresponds to the right hand button . Hope this helps?

After reading a manual online for Sammy machines,
It appears that all three stop button indicator lights should be on. Two lights are out that indicates that the corresponding buttons are activated. Should I pull the buttons out for cleaning or would that not necessarily help ?

First just try disconnecting. As I said before. Some machines use opto interrupters rather than a physical switch
If the infrared LED is dirty or faulty it may give a constant signal. Or as 2 faulty. Maybe a wiring loom problem.
If you can remove them and see the switch and the interrupter. If you look at it through a digital camera. You can see the IR led lite (but not with Apple products)

It is the sensor & interuptor setup, I cannot see any ir, but when I pass screw driver through them only one sensor responds, it is the one that has the only green led light lit. When I disconnect & reconnect wiring, the other two light flicker for a split second ?

Thanks, I gave it a go, I couldn't see any infared,
But could tell they are sensors and the button acts as a jammer, when passing screwdriver through the good one the green light blinks.
Nothing from the other two, but I did notice that when disconnecting wiring the lights blink for a split second, hope this is helpful & thank you for your replies.

Can you see IR from the good button? If not try a different digital camera

Where do I look straight down the middle, from the top, would it help to cover the bright red leds whilst I do it because I couldn't see nothing, I will try a different camera.

If they are U shaped interupters. then directly pn to the led. It will shine really bright on your screen if it can see it. Iphone cameras don't work for this trick.

So either, they don't have power or are knackered.
Can check with a multi meter.

You can try getting new buttons (ebay or such like) or if any good with a soldering iron. Try replacing the components
