Seems like seller (scalper?) trying to make quick buck; same guy selling it on yahooJapan for a fraction of the price!

It is nice condition though; I’ve got a similar octopus/fish/mermaid themed vintage Mizuho, however my mermaid isn’t topless like this model.

I think sometimes people make mistakes when making the translation between Yen and USD. I have actually gotten a couple great deals on Gundam models when the seller listed for 1000 Yen to 1 USD instead of 1000 to 10 USD. I have also had a couple of sellers that contacted me to say they listed at the wrong price and cancelled the sale. Tokyo_Uhee always seems a bit high on all of his Yahoo Japan auctions, but I do have a couple of his machines. He has some pretty cool pachinko related items.
