Smile Just bought/restored my first pachinko machine. Nice to meet you all

    Hello Pachink-goers,

I bought a 1963 Kotobuki singleshot a few days ago from a scrap yard. Although it was pretty rusted up and the glass was missing I bit the bullet and brought it home.

To the best of my ability I removed the rust with an abrasive (Colonel Brassy) and finished it off with a deep clean and some metal polish.

The only part of the machine that remains unfixed is the seesaw mechanism, it seems to be stuck in the downward position about 75%. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Anyways, here are a few pictures of the machine and my restoration journey

Try using 0000 steel wool on the pivot points. A lot of vintage mechanics used brass parts that tarnished or have mild corrosion. It also works great on the chrome frame door and won’t scratch it up. Enjoy your new toy!
