Default Info on this early modern Maruhon Shining machine

I got interested in pachinko going down a rabbit hole with Japanese arcade hardware and candy cabs but also just a general interest in mechanical stuff. I was planning on hunting for a mechanical 70's machine in antique stores once places were open again, but 90's era early modern machines are what I'm really interested in. I just know they're a lot harder to find in the west so I was planning to hunt for an old mech first.

However I found this machine for $120 local pickup about 15 minutes away. Does anyone know what particular model this is and if that's a good price for it, even with the case damage on top? I couldn't find it in any of the machine directories and I'm a little intimidated to spring for it as a first machine without knowing at least a little bit about it.

    Thanks in advance!

Oh The Baseball pachinko with the rolling magnetic pachinko ball grabber in the center feature .

Back in 2002 the vendors were selling it for around $150 with shipping included . And

I see, thanks! I should have thought to try searching the playfield text, I just looked around with what was on the cabinet. I doubt it's gonna fly off the shelves so I'll chew on it a bit and think about it. I'm not particularly in love with the design and sounds of it, but beggars can't be choosers and I'm sure I'm not gonna find early modern machines in driving distance like this very often. The magnetic center attraction is neat though.

Would you say $120 is a little high for it? The top of the case is busted too.

I was thinking of maybe trying to talk it down a bit from 120.

Thanks! I believe I made this account way back in high school when a friend's dad got a pachislot from some local auction and I wanted to learn more, but never really ended up hunting for one of my own. 11 years later here I am again

From that pic it looks like the damage is just to the top of a cabinet that the pachinko has been put in and not to the machine itself!! If the machine works, I'd def pay $120 for it, but it never hurts to try to get it for less!!

I found more pics on ebay..looks good to me!!

Cool machine. I’d definitely try to negotiate more though; I’ve scored a few early 2000’s models like that for $60. But then again depends on location; pachinkos are fairly cheap in my region (the South) due to low demand. I’d probably pay upwards of $80-90 if seller played hardball just because it’s got the magnetic spinning drum center feature; I don’t have one of those yet! Also, cabinet is a plus. Number of balls included would determine how low or high to offer really.
