Token Sensor Error

Working on a friends Pachislo machine which was working but now the token fall into the pay-out tray.

I tried doing a reset but get an error message E-0, "error in coin path". Also note that the relay moving the token path doesn't engage.

I removed the connection for the token sensors from the board and now error message goes away, the relay engages and the light above the token slot flashes. However, as tokens are not sensed, the Credit never gets updated.

I tried cleaning the token sensors, but this hasn't helped.

Appreciate any suggestions.

if it thinks there is a token there, and there isn't then the photocell is either blocked or faulty.
