Default Questions about an Oriental Big Chance I just acquired.

This is my third Pachislo machine. Did not work when I first found it. Now lights are on. Hopper works. Coin mechanism registers the coins. The push button to spin the reels pushes in, and I see the LED light turn off and back on, which I am assuming shows that the inductive action is working properly to send a signal to spin the reels, however they do not spin. The lever to spin the reels does not work and after taking it apart it appears that the lever to break the inductive action is chipped off. Either that or the board is not good.

I put 3 coins through the mechanism and shows them accepted and the start light is flashing above the button.

Are the two buttons and the lever intertwined so that if one is not working, the others will not work the reels? I have not checked the boards for them as far as ratings or ohms. I'm an electrician not electronics tech so the whole colored stripes thing escapes my mental capacities.

There is a reset button and a reset key switch (the key for which I do not have). I plan to remove the cylinder and replace with a switch. Could this be the issue and would a reset get the reels going?

Also, I have no cylinder keys to the front door or the hopper door. It appears that the front door is electric, however I do not see any type of wiring on the latch. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough or in the right places. Some familiarization with this system would be appreciated as well.

does sound like the lever switch is broken. I think some use a photo interrupter rather thana phsical switch. dirt on that would prevent it from working

Thanks for the info Drunkenclam. Appreciate the welcome takethecastle57. I'll get some photos of the door key cylinder and the latch.

Does anyone happen to know what voltage the fuses are? I have 3 - 3 amp that are fine but found a 1 amp that is dead. Does it transform down to 12 or 24 volts?

I expect they are standard 20x5mm glass fuses. all rated at 240v I think as its the current that counts. If you can read the small print. You need to know if its a time delay fuse or a fast blow. Its normally indicated by a letter before the current rating.
