    Default Misono single shot identification 50’s 60’s

    I’m normally more of a modern pachinko guy but this beauty popped up for sale locally; and kinda grabbed my attention. Seller claims it works 100%, I’m going to pick it up tomorrow I think. Any ideas on what year approximately it is? There’s not much info on these Misonos and this one might actually be a “rare pachinko” I’m liking those yellow painted flower pachinko balls too!

    Default Misono single shot identification 50’s 60’s

    Update: I bought the machine from a little old lady, she and her husband had it as a “wall hanger” for a decade or so;
    however they never really played it or even know if the payouts work. (She didn’t even know they payed out balls.) It does fire balls well. Took a bit of a gamble on this one at $100 for sure but it appears complete. She wouldn’t budge on the price due to too many people asking about it immediately after posting if on Facebook marketplace.

    I’m going to give it a good basic cleanup before running some balls through it and start troubleshooting to get it up and running again. Updates to follow, I’m sure I’ll have more questions!

    Update: Cleaned the ball tracks, hopper, polished up the nails, dumped in some shiny new balls and this 57’ Misono is playing like new! It pays out like clockwork; very impressive mechanics on this one.

    They don’t make em’ like they used to! You can tell it was crafted with pride, precision and well made, not slapped together with staples on an assembly line like some 70’s pachinkos!

    Notable features of this machine:
    Visible window to the ball hopper
    Spinning wheel center feature
    Clear plastic window/pocket above the center feature
    Unique bottom hinged astray for easy cleaning

    It’s a very classy machine if I do say so myself and cleaned up pretty well!
    Hers a couple pics in current playing condition:

    Never seen the small white plastic hook n the upper left corner before. My guess is it is to hold the glass up while adjusting nails.
    Nice looking machine!

    You would be correct! That plastic hook grabbed the glass when I tried to reinsert after giving the playfield and nails a good cleaning. Just push it in a bit an it lets the glass slide down. Yeah, I’m impressed myself of the condition of a 63 year old machine! The metal mechanics on the rear are a bit rusty; but this thing is built like a tank!
