Default Daido 1976ish Machine Info Plz

    Hello!

Been looking for information on this daido machine, I’ve done quite a bit of searching and can’t seem to find any info on this specific machine.

I got this machine several years ago as an inheritance and have fun memories growing up and playing this game with my brother and cousins as far back as I can remember. I’d like to clean it up and get the lights working and let my kids enjoy it as well.

It works pretty well, I’ve done some minor cleaning on it so far and that has seemed to help it’s game play. The jackpot wins are a bit slow seeming and I wonder if the ball launcher is a bit worn cause it’s been fired a lot and is probably original.

    Any thoughts would be great!

Nice looking machine! Very bright colors. Is the long spring that tensions the the ball launcher live on the front in these machines? I don’t see it at the bottom.

I’m not a 100% sure what spring you are asking about? My knowledge is pretty limited on theses machines. There is a small spring that’s on the launcher arm on the back. Looks like a small smashed version of a door stopper. Is that what your asking about?

I’m relatively new here myself, and I’m only on my 4th machine... and none of my machines have been the same as yours. So... someone smarter will chime in here eventually, but here’s a picture of the spring I’m talking about on one of the machines I’ve done. It stretches behind the ball dumpers (none of my terminology is correct, learn nothing from me)

They also usually have a piece of newspaper in them as a damper.

shooters dont usualy wear out.. they do sometimes break.. can you open the front glass then open the front shooter tray and post a pic of the shooter from the front of the machine..

the spring is in the back bottom like all vintage machines of this era..

Yep, it’s on the back in the circled area. Thanks!

It could be totally fine, it’s definitely in the back.

Have you ever seen this type machine? I can’t seem to find any pictures of it or really any information on this machine.
