Destroyer Top light

The top panel glass with the payouts. It is supposed to light up right? It looks like it has a light in there and it has a circuit board on the back area just like the lower belly light. The wires were disconnected when I got it in yesterday but when I plug them back in nothing lights up.

i have a destroyer, after not playing the machine for about 5 minutes there is a humming noise as the reels turn different colors, does your do the same, if not any suggestions? thanks, the noise is coming from the 3 speakers and i have the volume control on low! while playing the machine there is no humming noise.
