Question Big Bear super special question

I was looking at their special but one thing bothered me.........

    (quote)
Each machine has extra volume controllers installed at the token tray so that you can adjust loudness without opening the door. Exception -- Rocky, Dream Seven Max, Neo Planet, Neo Magic Pulsar and Gundam have no extra volume controllers.

I would personally want mine to be stock or I would mod them later. Can someone post a closeup pic of the big bear mod? Can you order them without the volume control? I guess I am funny about electronics. I know what I can do but are not sure of others work (not to offend anyone) and I don't want any holes drilled in the unit.

Any pics, advice would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    DD

I agree with you i think that having the volume control mounted in the front token trays isnt too cosmetically appealing to me.

My Hanabi Hyakkei came from Big Bear with the volume control in the tray. Before I received the machine, I thought it was the worst place for it. But after wards, I saw the beauty of the logic behind it. The volume control on mine is high enough in the tray you can not see it. It is the easiest possible place to reach and adjust. (Which is helpful when you enter the bonus round.) I am now going to change all of my other machines to the same place.

yeah, i think you can make a request without installing volume control and ask a separate volume control in shipping so, later on you can install it by yourself. but mostly of the volume control they installed in the machines are located in a hidden spot, which is really unnoticable.

I dunno, they dont look terrible there. Theyre convenient.
Would certainly be best if they are hidden under the lip of the machine...

    Hi all

You can see how we install volume controllers at our website
    www.bigbearpachisloshop.com
Click "Buyer's Guide" in the left column and go to "A Refurbishing Process" or "Volume Control."

Please note that every model has volume controllers at different spots, according to available space on the back side of the front door.

We are happy to serve you our machines with volume controllers UNINSTALLED! Please just tell us not to install volume controllers when you place an order.

    Thank you very much

Gaku, do you also sell the volume controls seperatly, and if so, how much?

Will you accept Paypal orders over the phone?

    Thanks,

    Hi Tony

Thank you for your inquiry. We sell volume controllers seperately.
    Double -- $12 including shipping.
    Single -- $9 including shipping.
Each volume controller has 3 feet wires soldered and comes with a knob and crimp connectors.

Ditto. 2 of mine are from Big Bear. I didn't think I was going to like the volume controls in the tray. But the way they do it, the average person won't even notice they are there. If it wasn't for the extra work involved (and the risk of damaging something while drilling the hole), I'd do all mine that way.

In otherwords, it's a nice feature if someone else does the work.
