    Default Donald Duck pachinko

    https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k294898324
Saw this thing...and was quite intrigued. It is unusual in so many ways!
I tried to copy and paste the images, before the link goes dead...but, it wasn't working for me.
I would like to have it, but I whine about shipping costs within the US. So, I know I would not be happy with international shipping costs!

I ran the description through Google Translate: Description of item
    Category

Hobby, Culture Pachinko, Pachislot Pachinko machine

    State

    Scratches and dirt

    Thank you for watching!

Since the junk stand that was previously obtained at the Yahoo auction has been reworked and remodeled, the launch spring and prize ball can now move and play without problems.

I hope you read it to the end and bid it after confirming the image!

Mizuho's fair specification (all 7) junk items were reworked and rose nails were made!

Note! ! * The reason for the high price was not only for the purpose of sales, but also a reference exhibit that wanted to make various stands!

Originally, I want to paint a little bit more in the holes of the cell, and I want to make the winning opening a mental type!

    * Replaced with nails, it was pretty beautiful, but you can see the additional nail and the original nail hole, and the hole after the wrong hole. (Please check the image)

    * The back side has also been reworked and is not original, please do not bid if you are interested! (Please check with the image)

☆ Specs Please understand that the tuples will open alternately for the top prize, sometimes the same person will open.

Each tulip opens in the second left and right prizes, other prizes are not linked to tulips!

If you cannot cope with (adjust) some defects such as clogged balls, you will be thrown out and will not be able to enter your home again! If you look at the back, it looks like a toy stand!

    1. Although one glass is attached, there are some cracks, shell cracks, etc.! We cannot be held responsible for any cracks in transit.

    2. No power supply

    3. The door doesn't open, it was fixed with a nail so as not to open with a nail from the side, there is no glass door key, the lever is pulled open from the back side.

    3. If you need pachinko balls, we will put about 70 silver balls!

    4. No need for a machine

So they took what was likely a broken machine and added a new cell and converted to single shot cyclic? Colorful and original.

I've seen photos of 5 retro Mizuho pachinko machines, redone with Disney character backgrounds, at the Japan Mint's Cherry Blossom Viewing in Osaka. The festival stall also has an Okumura Yu-Ki with a cops and robbers themed center and six 1995 Kyōraku Sangyō "Bomber Cat" machines refitted with manual handles. The machines pay out metal washers that are traded for prizes.

I really like the concept of taking a 'plain' tulip/pocket layout and giving it a theme.
Highly doubt it's officially licensed merchandise (and big D has $ to sue)...

Shipping a vintage machine isn’t nearly as expensive as a new one; would most likely cost $300-350 range if you have FromJapan be your proxy bidder/shipper. That’s how much my CR President arepachi (a much heavier 90’s machine cost to ship) New 100+ Lb machines are $500+ to ship.

I just had a vintage shipped via from Japan. Shipping was $228 USD to California via FedEx including domestic shipping within Japan and all fees included.

Not sure if "cyclic" is an accurate term. Seems like losing balls refill the jackpot "rails" and jackpots are measured similar to machines from the '50s. I do like how they added tracks to guide upper winning balls to the tulips. Notice that the top center pocket alternates from left to right.
I wouldn't be willing to pay a lot for a machine like this...but, the engineering that went into a modification like this is impressive.

    Default Donald Duck pachinko

There’s some more “tribute” bootleg Disney pachinkos for sale! A Mickey Mouse/Pluto and a Goofy for sale recently. Looks like no payouts though..kinda a bummer.

Interesting, looks like the Mickey may have been a dual center feature originally, the Goofy no center feature.

These machines are really simple, I wonder how much of the mechanics are totally custom.
I always thought it was odd that there were so few recycler designs made, but I guess with parlors having ball supply systems recyclers aren't really necessary and just add more mechanical complexity that doesn't need to be there.

The Disney themed games have been modified for arcade use.
