What to do with old pachinko balls

The rusted balls would make good slingshot ammo as TTC stated. I like to keep some not quite up to snuff balls on hands to use in machines before I clean them. If I just want to test that everything is functioning properly and work out mechanical errors before cleaning everything up I'd prefer not to run my clean balls through a dirty machine.
